Participation Terms

The rules for taking part in a PICKED event. Version 2026-10-v2.

1. Who runs the event

PICKED events are organised by Mariia Busarieva, Quellenweg 23 c 20535 Hamburg Germany (picked.de@gmail.com), referred to as "the host". These terms apply between you and the host.

2. Who can take part

You must be 18 or older. You take part as yourself and give true information about your name, age and gender. One person, one guest profile. Entry codes are personal and may not be passed on.

3. Free events

The first PICKED events are free to attend. Nothing is charged for taking part. If a later event is paid, the price and any cancellation terms will be shown before you join, and these terms will be updated.

4. How the game works

PICKED is a live, in-person game played in one room. You answer prompts, meet other guests in rounds and make private choices through the app. The host decides the order and timing of the rounds and may change, shorten or stop the game at any time. The host may also reveal matches aloud in the room as part of the game.

We do not promise that you will be picked, matched or meet anyone. A match is only a mutual choice in the game. It is not a relationship, an introduction service or a guarantee of any outcome.

5. Photos and video

The host takes photos and video during the event and may publish them, for example on the PICKED website and on social media, to show what the event is like. The host announces this at the door before the event starts. If you do not want to appear in published material, tell the host at the door and wear a "no photos" sticker; you will not be published. You can also withdraw at any time by writing to picked.de@gmail.com, and the host will take down published material that shows you where possible. Taking part does not depend on agreeing to be published.

6. Behaviour

• Respect every guest. No harassment, pressure, discrimination, insults or unwanted contact. "No" means no.
• Do not record, photograph or screenshot other guests or the screens of the app, and do not share what you see or hear about other guests outside the event.
• Do not use another person's name, photo or details, and do not upload content that you have no right to use or that is unlawful or offensive.
• Do not try to tamper with the app or the server, to see other guests' choices, or to bypass entry or consent controls.
• Follow the host's instructions and the rules of the venue. Drink responsibly. You are responsible for your own safety, belongings and journey.

The host can remove you from the event, and from the app, at any time if you break these rules or make others uncomfortable. If you are removed for a breach of these rules, there is no claim to repeat entry.

7. Your data

The app processes your data only to run the game. What is collected, who sees it and when it is deleted is explained in the privacy policy. You must give your consent on the consent screen before you can join, and you can delete your data at any time using "Leave and delete my data".

8. Liability

The host is liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law requires it. For slight negligence the host is liable only for breach of a material duty (one the event depends on), and then only for the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of event. The host is not liable for the behaviour of other guests, which stays their own responsibility. The app is provided as is and may be interrupted. This does not limit your statutory rights.

9. Changes and applicable law

The host may update these terms for future events. The version you accept on joining is the one that applies to that event. German law applies. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected. If a provision is invalid, the others stay in force.
